64 inches = 1 [tex]\frac{7}{9}[/tex] yards

using the conversion : 1 yard = 36 inches

divide 64 by 36 to convert to yards

= [tex]\frac{64}{36}[/tex] ← ( divide numerator/denominator by 4 )

[tex]\frac{64}{36}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{16}{9}[/tex] = 1 [tex]\frac{7}{9}[/tex]

given as a mixed number in simplest form
